This was my first visit to the Melting Pot. I was a guest of a party of 6. We had reservations which I reccomend if there are more than 2 people dining. Several of the others had dined there before and were helpful helping me to understand the menu. Our server was very good at keeping our meal courses coming. The choices made were very good. The cooking of the entree choices was a little challenging for me but I made it though. Dessert was delicious. Next time I will do the cheese and dessert so I can really enjoy those.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Seriously, I wouldn't return for dinner if it was free.
I made it clear when I got there that we only had 1.5 hours, yet she waits about 20 to put in our order and then returns to the table to ask again what we wanted to order.
We opted for a flat stove cook, our waitress once again fell short as our food finally comes and she had not even turned the stove on yet. So, she tried to play 'catch up' with the stove, which turned into chaos as the restaurant filled with smoke and our food was burned after she cranked up the heat.
Waitress was truly not on her game, and gave off the 'i really dont care' attitude to go with it. Dessert here is usually delicious. Will not be returning for dinner- EVER. -

I visited for the first time during restaurant week on a mother son dinner date. I made my son wear a dress shirt and he was not a happy camper. Our server was really friendly but initially took a few minutes to get to us. We had never been before but started with the baked potato fondue followed by the red wine and mushroom broth. It took a few minutes to get the hang of coordinating the cooking time since some were 2, 3, 4 minutes. Then we had 6 sauces to go with them and the waiter explained which sauces went with which meats but there were too many options. I needed a little card to come with my meal to say which sauces went with which meats. We finished with the white chocolate and some cookie crumbles. We ate all the dessert and needed extra fruit to make sure we got it all. I would highly recommend this place. It did take about 2.5 hrs but it was an enjoyable time with my son.

Review Update. No one from Melting Pot every called or reached out to me. Sad, right?
This is why I prefer to go to small restaurants where the people care about you and their reputation. Eat small this week and see what happens.
